Facebook (Meta) Ad Library alternatives (2026)

Based on vendor documentation and pricing as of . We have not run hands-on tests of these tools; nothing here is a paid placement.

Quick answer

Meta's Ad Library is free, and anyone can search all ads currently running across Meta technologies. Outside the EU, UK and political/issue ads, it doesn't keep ads once they stop running. The usual reasons to switch are saving ads into boards, searching more platforms and AI analysis. Alternatives with free options: BigSpy (free plan), OpenAdLibrary (free account, no card; Founders $29.99/month), Gethookd (7-day trial for $0, then $29/month) and Swipekit (14 days free, no card; $26/month). For ecommerce product research, try Minea ($49/month). For affiliate-style search by offer or network, there's AdSpy ($149/month).

What the Meta Ad Library does and doesn't give you

  • Free, and anyone can view and search it. Downloading searches requires a Facebook login.
  • It covers all ads currently running across Meta technologies, plus branded content with a paid-partnership label.
  • Inactive ads are kept only for social issue, election and political ads (7 years), ads that ran in the EU (past year) and ads that ran in the UK (past year, from 1 July 2025).
  • New ads appear within 24 hours of their first impression.
  • The Ad Library API covers political/issue ads and ads delivered to the EU. It doesn't cover all commercial ads worldwide.

No. Meta says anyone can view and search it. Downloading searches requires logging in and accepting Meta's terms.
